Our Story

A blueprint. A paintbrush.
A promise to every child.

PONCHI was born from two people who love the same thing from opposite ends of the world — an engineer in Houston and an artist in Colombia. A brother and a sister. One turns imagination into something real. The other gives it a soul.

↓   This is why we do it
The first spark

Everything starts somewhere.

Sometimes it starts on a refrigerator door.

Every child draws a world only they can see — a fox that's also a shark, a robot with a heartbeat, a dragon in shining armor. For a few days it's the most important artwork in the house. And then… the paper yellows. The magnet slips. The masterpiece disappears into a drawer, a move, a spring cleaning.

We couldn't accept that. What if a child's very first act of pure imagination didn't have to fade? What if it could become something they could hold in their hands — and keep forever? That question became PONCHI.

The second spark

And sometimes it starts in a camera roll.

Not every story begins in crayon. A grandfather on the last day of a forty-year career. A daughter in a cap and gown. The dog who has been in every family picture since 2014. The house you finally got the keys to. Those moments live on a phone, somewhere among eleven thousand others — scrolled past, backed up, and quietly forgotten.

So we do exactly what we do with a drawing. We sculpt it, print it, hand-paint it, and give it a passport that proves it is the only one in the world. Same craft, same promise, a different beginning: a moment you can hold — and keep forever.

Two worlds, one family

An engineer and an artist.
A brother and a sister.

PONCHI only exists because two very different kinds of people decided to build it together.

"I've spent my life turning ideas into things people can hold. Engineering taught me that precision is not the opposite of imagination; it is what allows imagination to endure. When I first saw a child's drawing, I did not see a simple sketch. I saw a world asking to become real. PONCHI began with that belief: every idea, no matter how small or imperfect, deserves the care, structure, and craftsmanship needed to exist beyond the page."

"Where my brother sees structure, I see emotion, gesture, and story. I read a child's lines the way a musician reads a score, noticing the joy, courage, humor, and wonder hidden inside every mark. My work is to protect that spirit while giving it shape, color, and life. Each PONCHI is 3D sculpted and painted by hand, one deliberate detail at a time, until the finished character feels not merely complete, but deeply and unmistakably alive for generations to cherish."

Neither of us could make PONCHI alone. That's the whole point.

Where art meets engineering

Two disciplines. One little miracle.

Every PONCHI is a hand-off between art and engineering — again and again — until a crayon sketch becomes a keepsake.

Why it matters

We're not really in the toy business.

When a child holds their PONCHI, they're holding proof of a quiet, enormous idea: what you imagine matters. The thing in your head is worth making real. That belief — planted early — is the most valuable thing we could ever hand a kid. The figure is just how we say it.

Made by hand, made to last

No two are alike. On purpose.

Every PONCHI is hand-painted by real artists in Colombia — never mass-produced, never left to a machine's whim. Small imperfections aren't flaws; they're fingerprints. Proof a person cared.

And because a one-of-a-kind creation deserves to be treated like one, each PONCHI arrives with a Certificate of Original Art and its own digital passport — a story that stays with it for life.

Real kids. Real imaginations.

Every character on this page started in someone's hands, not ours.

We just sculpt, print, and paint. The imagination — the split personalities, the guardians, the creatures who are half one thing and half another — that part is entirely theirs.
